Unlike most funeral plan providers, we both plan and carry out your funeral, so we can make sure every detail is how you wanted.
Co-op Commitment
Our Co-op Commitment means we’ll carry out the services in your plan, even if you die before the plan is paid in full.^
Award-winning service
Moneynet has recognised us as the ‘Best Funeral Plan Provider’, and we’ve been given the highest ratings from trusted independent experts.
Flexible payments
A choice of payment options, including one-off payments or monthly payments up to 25 years, whichever is best for you.
Co-op prepaid funeral plans
A funeral plan is the easy way to arrange and pay for your funeral in advance, giving you comfort in knowing that costs are covered. It also allows you to choose how you want to be remembered, which can remove any uncertainty your loved ones may have about your final wishes.
^If you choose to make monthly payments over 2–25 years, your plan will include the Co-op Commitment. If you die after 12 months, we promise to deliver all the services provided in your plan, even if you’ve not made all the payments. If you die as a result of an accident within the first 12 months of your plan, you’ll be covered by our Co-op Commitment. All payments must be paid up to date and your funeral must be carried out by one of our funeral directors. See our terms and conditions.

In association with Memoria we also offer a Direct Cremation Plan at £1,490. This low-cost prepaid funeral plan is suitable for those looking to arrange and pay for a direct cremation in advance.
A membership that makes a difference
Co-op Members benefit from exclusive member prices when buying a funeral plan with us. Plus, we’ll give £2 for every hundred pounds spent to community causes.
A prepaid funeral plan allows you to plan and pay for your funeral in advance. Many people find comfort in knowing that when the time comes, their family will be protected from unexpected funeral costs, and that all decisions for the funeral have already been made.

You can choose to pay either in full, in monthly payments over 6 or 12 months, or monthly instalments over 2-25 years.
If you’re paying over 6-12 months, there are no additional charges. However, when paying over 2-25 years, there are additional charges. If you choose to pay in monthly payments, you’ll need to pay a minimum £99 deposit when you buy the plan. You can pay a bigger deposit if you'd like to lower the monthly costs.
Every Co-op funeral plan includes:
Family support and assistance provided by a funeral director
Care and preparation of the person who has died
The choice for loved ones to visit a private remembrance room
Transfer of the person who has died within a 50-mile radius, 24 hours a day
Regular contact with the arranging client to plan the funeral
A free call from our Bereavement Notification Service team and bereavement assistance from professional organisations
You can fully personalise your funeral plan with hymns, songs & readings - we'll keep these wishes safe until your plan is redeemed
Whichever plan you buy, we’ll send you a plan summary in the post within 10 working days that confirms everything that’s included.
All plans may have extra costs at the time of your funeral. These may include:
• doctors' fees
• where a ceremony or service is held at a different location to the cremation
• for the burial or disposal of ashes
• the cost of buying a grave as prices and availability vary across the UK
• when you’re not a resident of the local area as the local cemetery or crematorium may charge for this
• embalming
Our terms and conditions give a full breakdown of what’s not included in our plans.
Our plans are available to anyone over the age of 18, and we don’t ask any medical or health related questions. If you’re paying monthly over 2-25 years, all payments must be completed by your 80th birthday.
Your funeral will be carried out by one of our funeral directors or one of the associated directors that we have a relationship with such as other regional co-operatives. You'll nominate your chosen Co-op funeral home when you buy your plan, but you can change this if you need to at a later date.
Spread the cost over 6 or 12 months with no additional costs or monthly payments over 2–25 years. If you decide on monthly payments, a minimum deposit of £99 is required when you buy your plan. You can pay a bigger deposit if you’d like to lower the monthly costs.
